Help about Pavillon Bercy Gare de Lyon
Hi, I am planning to visit Paris end of Jan.
I would like to stay near Gare de Lyon, since I will be catching an early TGV to Zurich.
Does anyone know about Pavillon Bercy Gare de Lyon? Another name is Hotels De Paris Lyon Bercy. The address is
209-211 Rue De Charenton
Paris F-75012
France
I would like to know if the hotel is well run, staff friendly, cleaniness, etc.
Thank you for your help.

I live near there and have walked by it many times but have never stayed there. It appears clean from the outside and I have seen inside the lobby which looks nice but I know nothing about the rooms.
Keep in mind that it is NOT exactly a nice walk over to the train station from there. This hotel is located well behind the station and you must walk under all of the train tracks to get to the station entrance. It is quite a little walk under the tracks and up to the side of the station before you get to the first entrance. The hotel is near the Dugommier metro station so you are limited to access to only one line without a change which is another inconvienience when visiting Paris.
There are many hotels in front of Gare de Lyon such as the Holiday Inn that would prove a much nicer and shorter walk and offer easy access to the metro lines at Gare de Lyon.

Hello!
I can advise you to go to the hotel Trianon Gare de Lyon***, located 400 meters from the Gare de Lyon. It costs 78 euros for a room if you book by the internet. It's a good and clean hotel, not very expensive.
Their website is: http://www.trianongaredelyon.com/index.html
Have a good trip in paris!!!

Thank you for all your help!
I will check out the Trianon Hotel.
I found another Hotel in Marais. I was wondering anyone has experience with
Le Relais du Marais
76,RUE DE TURBIGO
Paris
France
How far is this location from Gare de Lyon by taking metro??
Also, how much time do I need to arrive
before taking TGV to Zurich??
THANK YOU again!

Hi, I don't think you need to stay close to the train station in order to catch your train in time. We arrived at Gare de Lyon and our hotel was in the Latin Qtr. on Blvd. St. Germain. The taxi ride was really quick. Conversely, we stayed at Hotel d'Angleterre in St. Germain and had to catch a 6:30 a.m. train at Gare de l'Est and it was very quick getting to the station that early as there was no traffic. Plus we asked the hotel to reserve an early morning taxi.
It's possible to stay in a nicer area, nicer hotel and still be able to catch your train in time.
