Heathrow Terminal 4 to Coach Station
Hi All --
We're arriving at Terminal 4 and need to catch a bus to Winchester. These leave most conveniently from the coach terminal, which is between Terminals 1,2 &3. Does anyone know how long it will take to ride the shuttle from terminal 4 to the coach terminal? If our scheduled arrival (from US) is at 9:15 am, could we expect to be at the coach terminal in time for a 10:50 departure?
Thanks.

Not nearly as specific and easy as going to the Heathrow site yourself, discovering the "shuttle" (what does that bloody silly and Americanly vague term mean?) is a train, then looking the timetable up.
It really isn't rocket science, and you've been around this site long enough to know how to do these things. You've also been around long enough to know that it's not the 7 minute train journey or the 0-15 minute wait for the tain to arrive: it's the unpredictability of immigration queues, baggage arrival and airline punctuality that makes your question unanswerable.
C'mon... (whatever that means)

So this is what I'd do.
Don't prebook. Get the train to the Central Bus Station. If the 1050's gone, it'll be hours till the next coach. Get the Railair bus to Woking station (every half hour) and then a train (every 15-20 mins) to Winchester.
Check when the 1050's due to arrive. If you get to the bus station absurdly early, it might be quicker to get an earlier bus to Woking station, the the train
