Heathrow Airport Hotels

We are having a stop over in London England at Heathrow on our way back to Canada in July. Can anyone recommend a good airport hotel that is easy access to Terminal 5? We appreciate your response. Have a good day.

There is a Yotel inside Terminal 4. We stayed at the Yotel at Gatwick airport and it was very convenient. Small room with shower and toilet ensuite, large TV etc, no outside windows as it's inside the terminal. I expect the one at Heathrow is the same.

There are instructions on reaching Terminal 5 from the Yotel on the website.

T-4 is not al all convenient to T-5 -- one would have to first head to T-1,2,3 and then on to T-4. One would be better off staying in an off airport hotel and using the hoppa.

As yk says - if you want to be at/near T-5 there is a Sofitel

We agree. We would rather be at an off airport hotel and use the hoppa. We fly into Terminal 5 and then leave from Terminal 5 the next day at noon. Thanks everyone.

I would place a bid for a 4-star hotel in the LHR "zone" using Priceline. Chances are you'll get something for under US$80 - Skyline, Marriott, Crowne Plaza... etc. so that even adding the £8 pp for the Hoppa (simple larceny) you'd still be money ahead. The Hoppa has routes from T5 to all the local places, and bus access from T5 is much easier than from T1/2/3.

just to clarify -- the 8 pp on the Hoppa is for round trip.

I stayed at the Sheraton Heathrow on May 22 using PL for $50 plus taxes/fees = $65.04 total

Priceline is great for Heathrow hotels. Read up on Bidding For Travel to get a feel for prices being paid currently. And then start bidding. I have never failed to get a good deal for a 4* hotel with access to the Hoppa line.

We just returned from a trip using the Sheraton Heathrow, booked through hotwire, so the price was right. The physical facilities were fine, but the restaurant food was ordinary and expensive, with poor service. Also be sure you understand what internet service is available if that is an option. The "free" service in the lobby is worthless, and connections in the room to your laptop are pricey. Overall I thought service in the hotel was disappointing, and I am not a particularly demanding customer.
