Have most of my 5 day London itinerary down, but still have questions.

Actually, I'm not 100% sure about your daughter regarding traveling for free... From the tube's website:
-----------------------
5 to 10 year-olds
Children aged 5-10 years can now travel FREE at any time on the buses, the Tube, trams, DLR and London Overground at any time.
On buses and trams
Unaccompanied 5-10 year-olds can travel free at any time. They do not need a ticket or photocard to do so
On the Tube, DLR and London Overground:
Up to four 5-10 year-olds can travel free when accompanied by an adult who has a valid ticket, is using Oyster to pay as they go or has a Freedom Pass
----------------
Perhaps someone else can answer for you.

I went to Borough Market on Friday afternoon a couple of months ago. It was great fun but VERY crowded. If your daughter is going to be very uncomfortable being jostled, I woudl give it a miss.

A five year old is always free, bus, tube whatever. If you get to the market and think it is too crowded, it is a nice walk not far along there to the west along towards the Thames up to the Globe theatre through cobbled streets, some pubs, the old fashioned ship (forget what it is called but think pirates).

thank you, thank you, thank you! It is definitely clearer now. I don't know what it was, that I was just unable to grasp the whole travel card vs oyster card, etc.
I was looking for paper to do the 2 for 1 so I guess we will just get one 3 day travelcard and maybe one 1 day travelcard loaded for zone 1 and 2 so we can have the papers. I didn't see any 7 day travelcard (paper) available on the website anyways.

That walk sounds lovely, something just right for us!

Oh, walking along the South Bank is one of my favorite things to do in London. You can pop into the gift shop of the Globe Theatre, or maybe do a backstage tour there. Also, I was quite delighted to discover Southwark Cathedral. It's a nice, peaceful spot along the river not far from the Globe.
