The Hassler-- Definitely 5 star-rooms have balconies overlooking all of ROME and ROOFTOP dining--

The Excelsior is right NEXT to the US EMBASSY== That is the LAST location I would want to be anywhere in EUROPE.

You'll enjoy the Hassler...great location, great views overlooking the Spanish steps and great dining. The Excelsior is nice too, but I think you'd be happier at the Hassler.

Did you take a look at the St. Regis Grand? I stayed there with my boyfriend in February and it's wonderful. He had already stayed at Hassler and found the St. Regis much better.
