Has Anyone Used Fantasy Travel

I've been looking into some of the day trips out of Athens on Fantasy Travel. Has anyone used them before?
there is an island hopping one and also a land one that sound interesting.
Thanks

I used them to book flights within Greece and to Turkey from Athens. I worked with Ria and she was excellent.
Are you certain you cannot do the tours on your own?

Fantasy travel is a well-regarded travel agency, and people on various forums have reported good results with Fantasy booking hotels, ferries, flights etc and arranging transfers.

However, Fantasy does NOT put together the day trips or multi=day trips. They book you with one of the 3 outfits that do the trips -- CHAT, G.O, and KEY.

Now, the important thing in having a satisfying day trip or multi-day trip is the QUALITY of the GUIDE. Some of them are well-educated in Greek history, art, archeology etc, very able to convey information -- and personally friendly and helpful as well. Others (alas) are "just doing a job" -- they recite a script, know nothing aside from it, are visibly bored, and have a "not my table" attitude toward queries.

On various forums, people have spoken warmly of CHAT as having the best guides -- and conversely, have reported very disappointing experiences with the other 2. Now, some readers may have differing experiences, and are welcome to respond; I am only sharing what I have read. I would advise you, if working thru Fantasy, to specifiy that you would prefer to look at CHAT Tours. OR -- you might want to look at the CHAT site yourself. Google it.

P.S. I have no connection and have never taken these 3 tours... however on my first Greek trip I did take a day trip (not one of the above) to Delphi with a bad bus, a useless Guide... and it was a wasted day.

Last May we booked the 4-day Classical Tour with Meteroa through Fantasy Travel. The actual tour company was GO Tours. We were very disappointed with the tour, especially our guide. First of all, we were not told that it would be a multi-lingual tour (English and French). Of the approximately 50 people on the tour, 10 were french speaking. Our guide was much more comfortable in French than in English so she spent about 75% of the time describing things in French. When she did speak English she was very hard to understand. But it wasn't just the language problem. Our guide was not up on Greece history. Most questions that we asked related to things we were seeing, she couldn't answer. She also seemed bored with her job. We wished we had just rented a car and seen things on our own.

We used them for the island hopping package (Mykonos and Santorini) about 10 years ago and were pleased with their services. The price included transfers, transportation, and hotels; we did the touring on our own. I don't know anything about their day trips from Athlens.
