I had orginally reserved a vehicle for a week in Kauai about three months out from our trip. I later saw a cheaper price listed and inquired with Atlas Choice about the lower price. I was told to cancel the first reservation and re-book to get the lower price. What I was NOT told was the second reservation did not include taxes and fees that the first one did...So the price actually went up significantly. When I inquired as to why I was not told of this change, their response was, "Please note that you have access to the terms and conditions before making a booking". Pardon me for thinking you would have mentioned the difference. Instead of saying sorry, we should have mentioned it...All I got was "We hope this response has sufficiently answered your questions".

The total lack of customer service in this case is striking. I realize that companies are in the business to make money, however, I would liken this to a "bait and switch". How hard would it have been to take three seconds and mention that one fare has taxes and fees included and the other dosen't? Shame on me for doing business with you!

Hi there, I would advise you to stay well away from this company. They appear to be linked to Erentals.co.uk, and although Erentals email responses provide a phone number, that phone number takes you through to Atlas Choice, who in turn deny any link with Erentals. This makes it very difficult to speak to someone who will take responsibility for errors and refunds. I have had to give up now due to the Catch 22 nature of their operations. Best avoided.

I would steer well clear of this company based on my recent experience. To this date they haven't even responded to my online ticket within their own support system.

I rented a car online through Atlas Choice in September 2014, whom I found on Sky Scanner. The actual rental company was Megadrive at the Budapest airport in Hungary. I had no problems with the reservation, initial customer service or the car itself. Everything went fine until the last minute when I dropped off the car. They suddenly found damage under the front bumper that they deemed new even though it was already recorded in their own database as existing damage. However, it was not marked on the check-out report so they could claim it was new.

I talked to the manager and she was relentless. She said that they had to charge the entire deductible (excess) amount because of the damage. This was 1,016 euros! I have been driving for over 40 years without an accident or incident, and I cannot recall anything that would have damaged the car, so obviously I would want to dispute this charge. Even if I'm wrong and the car was damaged without me noticing it (very unlikely), the damage needs to be first assessed for the company to charge anything. One cannot simply charge the maximum deductible for an underbody scratch. Moreover, according to the local representative, the bumper was scratched on one side already and they alleged that i scratched the other side. IF that was the case, I would only be responsible for the difference between the costs of repairing one side vs. the entire bumper, which would be minimal if not zero.

I have checked online complaints against Megadrive and confirmed that mine is not an isolated incident. See for example http://www.tripadvisor.ca/ShowTopic-...e-Austria.html or http://austriantimes.at/news/Blog/20...ermietung_GmbH.

I complained to the Austrian headquarters of Megadrive, and following one week's worth of email exchange, they agreed to refund the total amount. Their reason stated was that the local employee made a mistake (i.e. marking up the check-out report after the car has been checked out).

I submitted a complaint to Atlas Choice to their online support center but they haven't replied to any of my messages, 8 days and counting. Highly unprofessional to say the least.

I have booked them twice. They are easily available at odd hours. Last time the driver was a little bit harsh but the overall service was good.

Warning warning warning. Do not book via Atlaschoice. They are the most unfriendly and stubborn agent I have ever tried during 30 years of car rental. You will be treated like s--t!

Booked a car through atlas choice with travel rent.
Travel rent are difficult to find working from a cabin the car park.
Atlas choice take your money before you land
Travel rent then add 50% on top inventing some local charges, this they demand in cash making it difficult to get back through your credit card company
There is a supposed customer service route, but your complaint will not be investigated, run a search this company are infamous for this kind of robbery, (wish i had before using them)
All travellers avoid atlas choice in every city

I booked with Atlas two months before traveling and they took the money ($899US) from my account within days, whereas other companies I've dealt with take it when I arrive.

Upon arriving to the pickup location, (which was Dollar not Atlass) the agent informed that we needed to pay another $1200 for insurance even though the package we booked was supposed to have insurance included. I cancelled the booking and rather than just charging a cancel fee, they kept the entire amount.

Absolutely unbelievable that they can get away with this.

This company is disgraceful!!! Never ever use them!!!

I booked a rental car in San Francisco through atlas choice for my family and I.

We landed on time and proceeded to Ace rental cars at San Francisco international airport. Ace Rental Cars was the company the third party rental car booking firm atlas choice had done our rental reservation with and who we had prepaid for the car rental.

Unfortunately upon arriving at Ace we were informed that they did not have a rental car available for us. It was impossible to contact atlas choice and ace rentals in San Francisco would not give us a refund as they said the problem was from atlas choice.

We had to book a rental with enterprise at the airport which cost us $80 per day!!! Not fair when the problem was atlas choice.

I have now contacted atlas choice three times and have no refund. I will never use them again and would encourage others to do the same. I will post against atlas choice and ace car rentals on as many travel websites as I can find as I am furious. I was in SF late at night with my two kids aged 8 & 6 after a long flight with the rental we had booked and paid for not available. Shame on you atlas choice and ace car rental.
