Has anyone stayed at St. David's Hotel, Norfolk Square, London?

We are considering a stay at St. David's Hotel, Norfolk Square, London, for 4 nights. Can anyone give a good recommendation for this hotel? Size of rooms, cleanliness, comfort, etc.? Thanks.

I don't know the specific hotel -- but I personally would not stay in Norfolk Sq.

it is right outside of Paddington station and not a particularly good area. Not dangerous, or horrible - just not as nice as some other areas.

What were you quoted per night? Maybe if we knew your budget we could recommend something.

We stayed at a hotel on Norfolk Square the night before we were to leave England. We chose it because we could walk to Paddington station and catch the Heathrow Express to catch the plane the next day. I don't remember the name of the hotel, but we loved the quiet and the feature of being able look out our 3rd floor window into treetops and a park. We had stayed at a more "convenient" location close to the Marble Arch earlier, before going to Paris, and the traffic was sooo noisy at night. Of course, if we have had better soundproofing.

oops! If we had paid more for our hotel, it would have had better soundproofing.

Janis and Xanthippe, Thanks for the input. St. David's quoted us 60 GBP per night, double ensuite with English breakfast. We're basically looking to save a pound or two on this leg of our trip -- not looking for charm, just comfort and convenience. Any further recommendations?
