"all they wanted to do was show how sensitive they were, for all of Fodor's to see"...I do hope that statement is an incorrect assessment about the motives of some very kind people, kerouac.

There are quite a few of us who drew comfort from those who took the time to say "sorry for your loss". Pet or person.

Can we let this go now?

Gracejoan is as unsinkable as Molly Brown -- I thought that everybody knew that. That's why I was a bit astonished when she disappeared temporarily.

I'm hoping that we can get this useless thread to at least 100 replies -- a sure sign of "totally off topic"!

The "à chacun son gout" fits so many places...where you stay where you dine. I know of very liked places by many that I do not care for and I am sure some that I am fond of are not cared for by others.Dining, lodging, location..all of it!

The posting of the link for photos does enable anyone to take it and use it for whatever purpose.

I think Kerouac might best want to skip reading the boring (to him)food photos.

a bientot...

gracejoan, don't let one bore scare you off. It amazes me how one self-absorbed person thinks his opinion counts more than all of the people who enjoy something. But perhaps he will be distracted by ana's profile pic and leave us alone.

"I think it is rather sad, but Fodor's is a free country."

Exactly! Skip threads you find annoying or lacking.

I will continue to express my disapproval of "sob sister" behavior when it takes threads off track.

You aren't a moderator, why do you care? Skip the posts that annoy you.

There's "off topic" and there's "way off topic."

I think you're the one who has taken this thread "way off topic."

You've always been such a valued voice here but when you talk about gracejoan's "fans" and suggest she post her pics elsewhere as you do it looks like sour grapes from the outside. Just skip her threads.

I will be very happy to post a few photos of my own meals on gracejoan's thread if she approves.

I don't think she would mind at all. I personally would love to see a few photos of your meal Kerouac.

I wish I was in Paris right now eating at Cafe Constant.

Frankly, I am pretty sure that she wouldn't mind either, even though practically all of my meals are eaten at home. But before I run over to her new thread to 'enhance' it, I'll just give a link to my thread about how to make mussels.

Sorry to hear about the loss of the cat......love reading about food and seeing photos of massive puddings and meat with lashings of gravy.

Looking after the friends cat tonight...lovely thing.

Tomorrow I may buy a dog but I will still visit Paris in the spring.

I would rather have wonderful food cooked at home any day of the week. Of course I love an evening out,but to master the kitchen is rare and wonderful. The mussels look perfect.

"practically all of my meals are eaten at home."

More so, you should post picture of your meal. Homemade meals are the best!

I am always for anyone posting anything acceptable to Fodor's, as long as it is not being nasty to someone.

The weather is picture perfect!! Beautiful brihgt, sunny day in Paris.
A few pics from petit dejeuner at Floren'ts this morning..a maybe not too clear one of his 'board'...a photo tht he suggested taking in mirror..I think to hide my face!!

Joan--We're traveling to the Canary Islands to cycle instead of feasting in Paris this December. One look at the board made me want to rearrange our plans. Enjoy every morsel for us.
