I haven't stayed there. But I know it's in the Latin Quarter or 5th district. Looks like it's located on a busy street but the rates seem reasonable. I know there have been quite a few comments here and on tripadvisor.com. I'm not sure but I don't think they have a/c.

I haven't stayed there, but will make a suggestion. Using the spelling St. Jacques (you have to have the s on the end), make a search in the search window above. There are quite a few comments on the hotel and I'm sure you will find all the information you need.
You can also check France.com, venere.com and tripadvisor.com I'm sure there will be comments on all of them.
Good luck.

Hart, I stayed at Hotel St. Jacques last September. I really enjoyed my stay there. The staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke good english. I had a single room, which was small, but very comfy. I had a nice bathroom. My room was on the back of the hotel looking out onto a short alley, so it was very quiet. My friend had another single room on the top floor which had a little balcony with a view of the Pantheon and was quite large, with a queen-size bed. She did not have a shower, but a very large tub with a hand-held shower. The elevator does not go all the way to the top, so you have walk up one flight. The prices are very reasonable 71 E for a single. The location was good - I could walk to everything, and did!! I am going back in Sept and staying this time at Hotel Familia only because their double rooms (going with a friend) have balconies, breakfast included and small fridges. The prices seem comparable to St. Jacques. I would highly recommend Hotel St.Jacques though and would not hesitate to go back there.
