just realised - no-one's talked about pancake tossing yet.

part of the tradition - having cooked the pancake, you have to toss it in the pan, throw it up as far as possible, flip it over and catch it as it comes back down.

perhaps that's what was meant by having to stand up as you eat them -intercepting them between the ceiling and the pan!

Damn, I missed it. Do you think that if I told my wife that today was 'pancake day', that she would believe me and russle up a few?
