Does anyone know if Paris hotels generally have hair dryers? We're staying at the K and K Hotel Cayre. I know that if I bring one it should have an adapter, but I'd prefer to leave it at home.

Adapters are fairly inexpensive if that's a concern. It's just a plug thingy.

Yes. Hotels like K&K will have hair dryers. Typically 3* category hotels will supply hair dryers even some 2*'s. But sometimes they are not regular type of hair dryers and look like vacuum cleaner hoses.

Funny story... was at the Hotel De Nesle in Paris and asked the owner's son for a hair dryer, and he brought me an iron. Hahahahaha.

Did the hair drying motion with my hands and he brought me the correct appliance.

I'm telling you skigirl, most all 3 star hotels do have hair dryers, but as I stated on another post, and Francophile has stated here, they are frequently the vacuum cleaner hose type, attached to the wall, and these simply do NOT get the job done! (you'll see what I mean when you turn the thing on-you could probably generate more energy by blowing on your hair yourself!)

If the hotel has a picture of the bathroom on its website, it will often show those ugly vacuum cleaner contraptions attached to the wall (can you tell I don't like them?). If you see it there, you need to bring your own, with an appropriate adapter and converter.
