Guided tour for Mont Saint Michel?
My wife and I will spend 2 nights on Mont Saint Michel in September, and have never been there before. Should we participate in a guided tour, or is it easy enough to see (and get into) everything on your own? If you recommend taking a tour, please let me know if you have a suggested guide.

I used the audio-guide that is available at the abbey and was satisfied with it.

I don't think there's a need for a guided tour. You can read up on it, and the audio tour is fine.

Agree - no guide is needed - the audio tour of the abbey is fine. I assume your 2 nights is one full day - since there really isn't enough to do there for more.

Another agree..lots of steps up and what goes up must come down so unless you are good at stairs you may find a twinge or two in the calf muscles next day..Not to worry it will have been worth it!!
