Greece & Cruise with OAT or Grand Circle?

Has anyone taken any of the OAT or Grand Circle trips/cruise tours in Greece & the Greek Islands?

We took the "Classic Greece and Greek Islands" trip with OAT in September of this year - great trip - what would you like to know? Peter and Wendy

We've taken several OAT trips, and no Grand Circle trips, though we care considering a trip to Russia with Grand Circle since OAT doesn't do Russia.

OAT is smaller, more intimate groups, and we like that. Grand Circle is larger groups, but a great value for the money. Depends upon what type of trip you are looking for.

Greece was a fantastic trip, BTW.

For those of you who have taken this OAT trip -
We'll be going in late May/early June. Is the water warm enough for swimming then?
Does the ship supply beach towels. OAT suggests we bring our own, but that's a lot of bulk unless we really have to.
Thanks.

Didn't get a chance to say thanks for your replies. We took the OAT trip and it couldn't have been any nicer. We sailed on the Harmony G a small yacht. It was the best part of the trip.

We also had a wonderful trip. Our ship was the Galileo which we were very happy with.
BTW- we swam several times. We brought along old, small beach towels - they didn't take up that much space. The ship did provide towels when we swam off the boat and for a beach stop. We used our own at a hotel pool in Kalambaka, also at a beach in Crete.

Bob,

Did you book the Harmony G thru OAT or thru Variety Cruises?
