granados 83, rome to seville
getting close to our trip departure on march 14. will be sure to post as the information gleaned from this forum and tripadvisor invaluable.
granados 83 in barcelona set to open march 1. please anyone who stays there this week, post your thoughts. am still up in the air on barcelona hotel. have several reservations and want to cancel two to be fair to hotel.
want to fly our son from rome to seville. does he have to fly to madrid first. any airlines flying from rome to seville? what are cheapest airlines.
following weather in madrid and guess we will really have to layer as half our time is north, half is south. thanks for any answers.

I am also interested in any information on Granados 83 hotel as we have made a booking for April.Just read an old post which mentions the restaurant won't be open until the summer-we have been quoted a rate for breakfast at the hotel which presumably means there is a restaurant operational.Cindyjo will you post back with any information after your trip!

thanks for all the update on this hotel. we have a backup at the astoria but seems like we could cancel that now. by the way, rally5, we may bump into you as we are also booked the 14th of march (through the 18th). none of the various forums have any reviews yet so if anyone out there stays there anytime soon, please let us know what you think! also booked at the vincci soho in madrid at a great rate but worried about the negative reviews. anyone stay there recently? thanks, cindy

Shooshy,
The 75E rate was on the Derby Hotels' website - http://www.derbyhotels.com Unfortunately, it appears that this special rate is no longer being offered.

Thank you ChadL!
I was feeling very pleased with our rate which I got by emailing Derby hotels directly. They offered me rates slightly better than those now available on their website but I clearly missed out on those exceptional opening deals. 75 Euros per night is unbelievable!Anyway I am sure we will all have a great time in Barcelona. For us it is our first time....Happy travels everyone.

back now. Stayed in granados 83, it is open, and working fully operational. Bar opened whilst we were there!
Next door is a building site- hence seeing the workmen! You can hear the drills during the day also. Hotel itself was small, very unusual, spotless and the staff the friendliest I have ever come across! Breakfast expensive but you could have anything and everything so it was a treat! Too cold for pool etc so cannot comment but saw it on rooftop with glass canopy - very plush! Hotel very unusual with all different textures and textiles, all dark, but classy.
No problems for those with bookings in future. We walked everywhere, restaurants within 5/10 mins walk away, and exceptionally nice area with not too much noise. A wonderful choice.

I am planning a stay at Granados 83 for the end of May and I am looking at their duplex accommodations. Supposedly, they have a pool, mostlikely are facing a pool. Any help?? Also, any help on restaurants, nightlife, etc.? It is our first time in Barcelona, actually first time in Spain although seasoned travelers of other western European countries. So, any suggestions or advice would be greatly welcomed. Muchas Gracias
