Granada- hotel location question
I am about to book a new hotel in Granada that looks very nice. However, as it is new I have not found any reviews or comments on it. The only thing I am really worried about is if it is in a sketchy part of town. The hotel has views of the Alhambra and looks like it is just down the hill from it.
Can someone familiar with Granada please take a look at this hotel map and tell me if I should be worried about the location?

Thanks

It is certainly in a great location; I have family in Granada, and we always walk down Paseo de los Tristes from the Alhambra. The last time we went that way, two years ago, we did see some sketchy characters in that area, but not enough to say whether you would feel unsafe. There is a lot of minor theft in Granada, i.e. purse snatchings, but I have heard of it in almost every neighborhood. Don't carry all of your money in one place, don't carry your passport unless you have to, and don't let your purse dangle or leave it unattended.

STOP PRESS, just wanted to say, I got back from Granada last night and stayed in one of the loveliest hotels I've ever stayed in. I was a bit nervous before I went as it hasn't been mentioned here, but it had rave reviews on trip advisor.
It's a completely renovated 17th century nobleman's house in the old arab quarter - RIGHT in the heart of the old town, but in a quiet oasis on a side street. The staff were incredible, there was free drinks at 8pm to mix with other guests if you liked, beautifully appointed rooms in local style, lovely breakfast with a wide choice of food. It made my holiday. I also got a bargain rate on Expedia.
PLEASE check it out before you book, it really was that nice:

Just looked at your weblink - I remember this hotel. It looks very modern from the outside, but the interior on the website looks similar to the hotel I stayed at. It's in a great location (v.close to where I stayed), although on quite a busy street. It looked nice from the outside.

Thanks Kate. I also looked at the rave reviews of Casa Miqueletes on Tripadvisor. I was going to stay there, but I want a room with a view of the Alhambra. A room with Alhambra view is almost 50Euro less at Ladron de Agua.
Kate- How many days were you in Granada? Do you wish you had spent more or less time there? Thanks!

I spent 4 nights there - which was probably too much, but I was in the mood for relaxing rather than slogging around churches, so it suited us just fine. But if my time was more precious, I could easily have covered Granada in 2-3 nights (2 full days). Beyond the Alhambra, walking through the arab quarter, the cathedral/royal chapel and a couple of monastries, there really isn't much more. We were there during Easter, so had the added entertainment of Jesus and Mary being tramped through the streets at regular intervals to keep us busy.
