Good Location for Apartment in Seville?

We're headed to Seville in March and are about ready to book one of the Mariscal apartments via Seville5 apartment rentals. Would love some info from others about the location. Thanks!

Santa Cruz is the historical district and in my opinion, the best area to stay. I can't offer any opinion on the specific apt or street address but I've stayed twice at a hotel in that neighborhood and loved it.

It's the oldest neighborhood and the best looking.

Yes, EXCELLENT location.

It is also less than 2 blocks from my favorite place in Seville: http://www.vineriasantelmo.com/

Another vote for Santa Cruz. We just came back from Seville and loved our apartment's location - very close to nice restaurants and easy walking distance to the major sights.

Santa Cruz is beautiful and a fine base for a stay in Sevilla. You are close to the Arab bath house Aire de Sevilla and great flamenco at Casa de la Memória, some of the finest artists perform here on a regular basis:
Aire de Sevilla: http://www.airedesevilla.com/
Casa de la Memória: http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attractio...Andalucia.html

I recommend small Las Teresas for tapas on your doorstep: http://azahar-sevilla.com/sevilletap...y/las-teresas/

Remember to also visit other parts of Sevilla, great local atmosphere in close by Arenal, in Triana across the river (a cradle of flamenco culture) and Alameda/Macarena north of what the Sevillanos themselves call city center.

The best tapas bars are generally found outside Santa Cruz. A couple of suggestions:
Eslava: http://azahar-sevilla.com/sevilletapas/category/eslava/
Close by Bodega dos de Mayo: http://www.tripadvisor.com/Restauran...Andalucia.html
Enrique Becerra in Arenal: http://azahar-sevilla.com/sevilletap...rique-becerra/
La Primera del Puente in Triana: http://azahar-sevilla.com/sevilletap...ra-del-puente/

Hi lawgirl12 - Did you stay at the Mariscal Apt.? We are considering staying there in September and would appreciate your impressions.
