Good destination for Christmas/New Year
Hi, Has anyone been to Spain, Portugal,
Morocco or Turkey in December? We want to
take advantage of the low deals to Europe
but not sure if it will be a really bad
decision in terms of weather. Has someone
who has done this before like to share their
experience? Thanks..

If you prefer Turkey than which part;
Want to snow and good venues next to : istanbul and Cappadocia, want mild weather and historical places attached to the vacation than South Med. coast.
Want both, you can achive too.
Regards from Snowy and sunny Cappadocia.

We've done the same last year. The tickets to France were as low as $350 so we got tickets to Nice (nonstop from NYC) and spent one week in French Riviera. The weather was mostly nice and sunny, and few days when it was ranining, we spent in the museums. We enjoyed it very much. Rented a car and drove the coast. It was very good. Decent weather for winter. I would probably do something like this again, considering warmer destinations like Malta, Greece, Turkey, Portugal. Been in Spain in winter (Feb) and again Andalusia was very pleasant, however, Madrid and Barcelona were approx the same weather as Northeast USA.
