Good Airfares from US to Europe this Fall?
Thinking ahead to next season: has anyone seen any good fares to Europe, Sept-Dec.? Any predictions about whether they will be higher/lower than we've seen in past? Seems that summer has been high, altho some deals in May; I went PIT-CDG for $477,USAirways, mid-May, which seemed good for this year.

I've been really discouraged by the high airfares for October, also. I want to go Chicago to London, but would do DC, Newark or Phila. I check several sites nightly, but can't get below around $660. I should have jumped on Orbitz's offer of United out of JFK for around $340 in early May, but don't have FF miles--STUPID!

Hope someone posts if they find something good.

The flight we're going to click on will not tell us the airlines until we buy, but I went into United's site to see what they had so I could at least accumulate miles. They have the exact same departing time and arriving time from and to the exact same place, so it's a pretty good bet that the $504 is on United. United's price? $1,008.

Did not like the looks of the fares for fall myself, so I went to Priceline. Got ATL-CDG for $300 in early October. The best part is direct flights on Delta both ways. I've always had to make at least one connection with Priceline in the past.Whoopee!!

In March we paid approx. $600/pp RT from San Francisco to CDG on Lufthansa and for travel in October. I thought at that time we should have waited for a better fare but I'm glad that we didn't. This year it seems like there aren't many good airfare deals for fall.
