Giverny - Enroute...
We will have an early flight into Paris from Spain and would love to stop at Giverny enroute to Honfleur.
The issue is that our luggage will be in our rental car. Is this a really bad idea?
I appreciate any advice, particularly if you have parked at the gardens.
Thank you!

The car park is open, outside and people are walking around there constantly. Also, that's where the buses park with the drivers sitting in their buses. I didn't see any security, but with all that action, there should be no problem.
If the luggage is in a covered trunk vs. a hatchback, all the better.

Thanks so much for your replies.
Here's the kicker.
After all the careful planning and checking that the gardens are open on Monday the ONE day this year they are closed is our Monday, April 26.
This is so typical of our travel karma we have a name for it, but as it involves our last name it won't be mentioned here.
