Ghost Walk and TrainTransfer

We are traveling to Italy for the first time in two weeks and will be visiting Venice, Florence, and Rome. I have two questions. Frist, we are taking a train from Venice to Florence and have a transfer at the Venice train station. Can anyone explain how difficult this is and what it entails? We only have about fifteen minutes to make the transfer, and I am dreading missing my connection. Second, does anyone know of any Ghost Walks in Rome? I found some in Venice and Florence but not on the nights which we will be in those cities. Thanks in advance.

What do you mean you have a transfer in the Venice station? There are 2 Venice stations, Mestre, which is not in Venice but on the mainland close to Venice, and Santa Lucia, which is in Venice. If you're traveling from Venice to Florence, you could possibly be changing trains at Mestre. Fifteen minutes should be plenty. If I were you, I'd look for a non-stop train from Santa Lucia to Florence. No worry then about making a connection.

There are no transfers at the Santa Lucia station since that is a definite end point so you must be referring to Maestre.

Connections there are easily made so 15 minutes would be plenty of time IMO.

Yes, we go from Santa Lucia to Maestre for the transfer, then we head onto Florence. The only direct trains for that day were later on in the day, and we would have lost much more of a day in Florence that way.

There is a direct train that leaves Venice at 10:32 and arrives at 1:21 in the afternoon. It stops in Mestre but you dont have to switch trains.
