Getting to the airport

What would be the best way to get to CDG for a mid-morning flight to the U.S.?
We (4) will be leaving from Gare du Austerlitz area.

Thanks,
RT

What is your definition of "best?" Fastest? Cheapest?

What day of the week?

I assume that you will have been in Paris and will have become comfortable using the Metro and RER. If so and you are packing light and can easily schlepp your own luggage, take the RER C from Gare d'Austerlitz to St-Michel Notre-Dame. Transfer to the RER B and take it to the RER station at CDG, either CDG 1 or CDG 2 TGV, that is closer to your terminal. Be aware that the RER B divides northeast of Paris. Be sure to get on a train that is going to CDG. The fare is €8.50.

Let me rephrase my query.
Is there anything like Dot2Dot that is available in Paris.
We are staying on a bateau in the 5th and need to get to CDG around 8:00 A.M.
I am not into busses or rails.

Addendum: The CDG 2 TGV RER station is direcly below Terminal 2. If your flight leaves from Terminal 1, get off the RER at the CDG 1 station. Take the free CDGVAL driverless shuttle train to Terminal 1.

Google "Paris airport shuttle" (without the quotation marks) and you'll find many shuttle companies listed.

I would take a cab. I don't know when your flight is, but with CDG being what it is, the advice to get there three hours ahead of flight time is well intended. We had a 8:00 flight one morning, so called and scheduled a cab the night before. He showed up exactly as requested at 4:30, and whisked us to the airport. Cost us a bit more, but there was no schlepping bags up and down stairs on the Metro/RER.

I used http://www.shuttle-inter.com in May. 55 euros to CDG. I was very pleased with their reliability.

Taxi is the most convenient - which for me means best. You may have other preferences.
