Getting to Alhambra from the Train Station
What's the best way to get to Alhambra from the Train Station?
We heard it's a nice walk from the City Centre to the grounds so we would like to incorporate that.
Thanks!!!

I am sorry but I MUST disagree on this one. We were in Granada in July; took the train from Seville.
The Alhambra is definitely NOT NOT NOT "within walking distance" of the train station UNLESS you are some sort of mountain goat.
Our taxi ride (RECOMMENDED) took at least 15 minutes to complete and we went through the city (which turned out to be much larger than I expected..I thought Granada was some sort of little village...really stupid..it is quite extensiveand certainly a city...not Madrid but not a "litle village" by any means).
THENM the taxi started up the LONG hill to the Alhambra itself.
Don't even fantasize about walking to it from the station, even in your wildest dreams, much less with luggage.

Not sure where the train station is but once in the city centre you can get a small minibus from the bottom of the hill up to the front entrance for about a Euro. Just go to the junction past the cathederal, turn left and the busses are on the right. The drivers all speak good English so ask if you're unsure. On the way back, walk across the road to the left of the square up the side street there is a great bar, that if you drink at the bar they give you free tapas...Bonus!!. Can't remember the name but it has a big dark frontage and the bar is at the back on the right. My Lady & I goot fed & Very "watered" there one evening for very little. Have a good time
