Getting from Venice Airport to Hotel

We're staying at the Residence Corte Grimani (recommended by Fodorites) in Venice. I'm concerned about getting to the hotel from the airport. The hotel says that we can take the fast boat (?) or a shuttle or a water taxi. I know that there are differences in price but I think we want easy and fast. How difficult is it to find these taxis and shuttles once you get out of the airport? I'm used to going outside and catching a cab.

Walk out of the airport to the left. The landing stage is 5 minutes on a roofed walkway. There you can take Airport Shuttle - Alilaguna and water taxis. Water taxis are usually readily available.

Expect to pay €100 for a water taxi (we were there a few weekends ago).

Alilaguna is €25 return per person - takes about an hour on the red line to get to San Marco (not sure what stop you are at)

And the 100 euros for the water taxi (a fast boat) is for up to 4 or 6 people with luggage depending on the taxi. The water taxi will get you as close as possible to your hotel--right to your hotel door if it has a dock.

Or, take the bus to Piazzale Roma for 6E and the vaporetto to your hotel stop. That allows you to see the Grand Canal from the water which is a must anyway.
