Getaways from London
Going to London in a few months. Am thinking of a short getaway to somewhere in Europe, either Budapest or Istanbul. Need help in finding sites/resources to help me find good deals. Have looked at expedia and lastminute.com --- any others I should definitely check? Thanks!

Sorry I can't help you w/ your question -- I know tons about getaways from London but almost nothing about getting to Istanbul.
But some hopefully useful advice - Your title sounds like you are asking about weekends or day trips in the UK. You really want to know more about the best way to get to Budapest and/or Turkey.
You might get good responses on this thread - but a title something like "Best fares/sites for travel from London to Budapest or Istanbul?" would get more notice from people who travel to those two cities.

I'll be in London for 2 weeks, but thinking of getting away for 4-5 days. It doesn't have to be Budapest or Istanbul, so any other suggestions?
Janis, thanks for your advice, I think I'll re-post with your suggested heading!
Cheers!
