Has anyone ever used the rail and drive option for a German railpass?<BR>I am trying to figure out if it works out better (especially option to pick up the car in one city and drop it off in another)-- or am I better to arrange things on my own?<BR>Thanks!

I have used France rail and drive. Main advantage is fairly good deal compared to conventional rental if you only want one day here, one day there.<BR><BR>You should be able to pickup and return rental cars anywhere in Germany with no drop charge, no matter how you &quot;source&quot; the rental.<BR><BR>Best wishes,<BR><BR>Rex<BR>[email protected]<BR>

The one time I looked into rail and drive in Germany, it was specified that the pick-up and drop-off point for the car had to be the same, which is why I did not choose that option.
