FrommMarseille to Antibes by rail
I need to take the train from Marseille to Antibes, has anyone done this? Apparently there is no direct route. Help! the SNCF website was not helpful. Elizabeth in Sacramento

You might just need to change trains once, probably in Toulon. But I'm sure there's a direct train between Marseille and Cannes/Antibes/Nice. I can't check because the SNCF site is down for a few hours.

There appear to be a couple of trains with what appears to be a change in Toulon ... and they stop in several other towns.

Schedules for most Western European railways are on www.bahn.de. This shows at least one direct train every hour. Some of these are TGVs so would require seat reservations.

Geoff (and de) are right, there is a direct train about every hour between those points. Some are TGV, some COrail and some TER.
As long as the sncf site is working, it is very helpful, all you do is put "marseille" in the departure box and antibes in the arrival and a date within 60 days, plus a reasonable starting hour. They run from early morning until around 8:30 pm, at least on the date I just checked (a Saturday). I've taken that train and never had to transfer, I know that is correct. Maybe you wanted to go late at night?
