No Musee D'Orsay?

You may find you have a lot of time on Tuesday unless you are a materials person. If you need new curtains etc, Tuesday is the day as the shops down the hill are fantastic

Don't worry -- they'll come back to Paris after the first visit.

I vote for the comfy shoes every time. It's hard to enjoy yourself when your feet are hurting! Have a great trip!

Hi normal

My view on your itinirary....

Day 1

Busy, but manageable, depending on how much time you spend in Louvre. Might add Place Royale and Place Vendome to your list, as places that should be seen. Maybe a visit to Laduree for their famous macarons (at place de la Concorde, look up street - away from river, you'll see Madeleine at end, Laduree on right). I'd add Angelina's for a hot chocolate, but that is starting to fill up your day.

Day 2, light day. Could add Marais, Place des Vosges. Maybe a good day to do a Paris Walks tour. They do a Marais in the morning...lunch at Place des Vosges, then off to Monmartre? I did this tour last fall, good.

Day 3
Good

Day 4
Add in St Chapelle here and Ile St Louis. Also nice time to do some walking along Seine for views, bouquinistes,etc.. Berthillon ice crem on the Ile, maybe outside lunch at Brasserie de l'ile St Louis?

Day 5
good

Time to travel to tame terribly tense trepidations.

How does this arrangement sound?-

Arrive Sunday: shop at monoprix, wander around Marais, dinner, walk to Place des Vosges

Monday: Louvre (2-3 hours), Jardin de Tuileries, Place de la Concorde, Arc de Triomphe, Tour Eiffel.

Tuesday: Paris walk Marais circuit (sounds like fun!-thank you Michel Paris), lunch Place de Vosges, Sacre Coeur, Montmartre

Wednesday: Versailles, then back to Marais

Thursday: Notre Dame, Napoleon's tomb, Orsay, Sainte-Chapelle, Ile de la Cité, Ile St Louis, Berthillon ice cream on the Ile, lunch, Left bank walk, Seine River evening cruise

Friday: Pere-Lachaise cemetery, Catacombs, possibly Jewish museum in the marais

Hello Bird! This Fretful Floridian is feeling fine, flexible and with facility facing the future in France

You can forget shopping at Monoprix on a Sunday. It will be closed.

Kerouac are there any grocery type stores open on Sunday? There is a Franprix down the street from our apartment according to Page Jeunes but I can't tell what their hours might be.

There is also a Proxi. Is that a grocery store as well?
