French Visa- APS validity if get a new residency permit from UK
Hello All,
I am an Indian and completed my PhD from France in 2021. I have a valid French APS until May 2022. Recently I got a new job and moved to UK. So now I am bit confused whether my APS still valid, because now I have British residence permit from UK. Is it okay use same APS for travelling to France, even if I have a new residency permit from UK? .
Could you please help me to solve this confusion?
Thanks in advance.

Hi, I assume that the French permit is entirely separate from the British one, so I don't see why it wouldn't be valid, this is your own arrangement with France independently of Britain, which after all is entirely a different country from France. But you should not rely on my advice, I am not a lawyer. I would ring up the French consulate in London and ask them for certainty. People here don't necessarily have the right background to help you (me included).

Basically, I agree with lavandula, but your French APS that is valid until May 2022 remains valid until May 2022 no matter what you have done with your life. The French authorities do not have the slightest interest in your British residency permit, no more than they would want to see one from Argentina or Zambia.
