Not everyone agrees with their leaders. Being an American I can attest that President Bush has some who beg to differ with his opinion. Just b/c your Country's leaders have an opinion, it may or may not be yours and hopefully the French feel the same

Check the Library of congress records

On October 20, 1942, the federal government seized the Union Banking Corporation in New York City as a front operation for the Nazis. Prescott Bush was a director. Bush, E. Roland Harriman, two Bush associates, and three Nazi executives owned the banks shares. Eight days later, the Roosevelt administration seized two other corporations managed by Prescott Bush. The Holland-American Trading Corporation and the Seamless Steel Equipment Corporation, both managed by the Bush-Harriman bank, were accused by the US federal government of being front organizations for Hitlers Third Reich. Again, on November 8, 1942, the federal government seized Nazi-controlled assets of Silesian-American Corporation, another Bush-Harriman company doing business with Hitler

check Texas records for Arbusto company investors for the bin laden connection.

it is all a matter of public record.

Hello, Beatle,

Do you want GWB to have a bad day? Does that give you joy? He is our President. Wish him well. Don't trash him. I don't have the answers and neither do you. I do support our President and his efforts to protect our freedom and our free enterprise system. I wish you would support him too.
If anyone with the access to information we have really believes SH has not devoted considerable effort into developing WMD -- and continues to do so -- you're completely out to lunch. I forget which politician said it, but he challenged a host of nations to ask their intelligence chiefs if they thought SH has WMD and if any single one thought Iraq doesn't. No reply.

As for avalon, I don't know what point is being made. Many unsavory things happened not so long ago, such as the Europeans' near-exterimination of the Jews. But this debate is about the present, and who stands for removing SH and who doesn't.

As for Blair and polls, Blair should be commended for sticking with his beliefs. Things are better on this side -- the lead story in today's NY Times is that support for President Bush and his handling of Iraq is rising. More and more Americans are impatient with European bluster and BS and are increasingly in favor of taking care of this problem regardless of what the UN votes. That's the good news.

Why is it that whenever a decent discussion of the issues gets started the usual cast of charcters show up with their name calling, insults and irrelvancies. Gee, why don't we talk about how Britain and France once divided up the middle east after a war, as if that has anything to do with what is currently going on in Iraq. Somebody else said it above. Once you strip most of these anti-war folks of their slogans and tired political rhetoric, they really don't have much worth listening to about how the world should deal with Saddam and Iraq.

wren...the Kennedy's are a whole other issue. And I would most likely agree with you on them.

lynlor! These are recorded facts in government records. Do you think I am sitting here making them up? Yes I guess you do. You do the work, I have already done it and learned lots of other things in the process. If I quote your page and verse you will just come back with another issue. So do it yourself and you will find out the truth.

We just came back from Paris on 2/11/03. Everyone we encountered had been nothing short of pleasant and helpful. We were concerned a bit as well being from the USA. But our concerns were not well founded. I agree that you have to give people all over credit that they can seperate you from George W.
Here is something to consider:

SEVERE EARTHQUAKE IN FRANCE

March 11, 2003. Today it was reported that a severe earthquakes have occurred in 10 different locations in France. The severity was measured in excess of 10 on the Richter Scale. The cause was the 56,681 dead American soldiers buried in French soil rolling over in their graves.

According to the American Battle Monuments Commission there are 26,255 Yankee dead from World War I
buried in 4 cemeteries in France. There are 30,426 American dead from World War II buried in 6 cemeteries in France. These 56,681 brave American heroes died in their youth to liberate a country which is guilty of shameful
unspeakable behavior in the 21st century. May the United States of America never forget their sacrifice as we find ways to forcefully deal with the Godforsaken unappreciative, forgetful country of France!

US
