France, Switzerland or Italy 10 days
Hello,

I'm planning my first trip to Europe with my boyfriend. He has been everywhere in Europe, but I have not.

Can anyone give me some tips on where I should go? We may go to two countries in 10 days. Would you recommend France, Switzerland or Italy? And what cities can you recommend as well.

Many thanks for your help,
Natalie

Not at all clear why you would value the inout of total strangers over that you are likely to get from your boyfriend - - but that notwithstanding, these might be other factors in your decision:

What season?

Are either of you old enough (21, typically) to rent a car?

Do you have any connection to - - either by way of family, or studyies in school, or just a personal affinity - - for the culture, language, art, food or geography of any of the three countries you mentioned?

When your boyfriend describes to you the places he has traveled, what places sound particularly appealing to you?

And last of all - - the first question I usually suggest asking of yourself to any first-timer: when you close your eyes and think "I would like to go to Europe" - - what do you see?

Whatever your decisions, you are wise to think of two countries only, with only 10 days to spend.

More answers from you will mean better answers from anyone here.

Best wishes,

Rex
I highly recommend Italy. It's a beautiful country where you eat very well. It sounds small, but when you're away from home, good food is comforting in a land that is all unfamiliar.
I would say go Rome, Venice and Florence. If you're visiting in the warmer months, try for Positano.
However if you only have 10 days go to the 3 major cities and get a taste of the country. The people are friendly, crime very low, you will be happy you came.
Have fun, Melissa
