Dear John:

Sounds like a nice trip. While in Burgundy, stop off at Clos de Vougeot and some other wineries in the area.

If you need a baggage caddy..let me know..

Regards..
Luis

Should I worry about the unrest in France right now?

Don't worry, there are not riots in Paris and France in general. Sometimes, when the people demonstrate, it can end with small groups of people coming to try causing trouble.
When there is no demonstration, there is no problem.(In Paris)
There was a demonstration in Dijon yesterday and no problem. Just wasted some time turning around with the car because the police cordoned off the area for a while...

Cocofrom Dijon, We will be leaving Obernai early on our way to Beaune. How long do you think it will take and could we have enough time to stop in Dijon?

Hi John,
How will you be travelling, car or train? Have you checked with www.mappy.com? What time do you have to be in Beaune? Dijon is only 45km North 20min by train, 30min by car)

COCO, No real hurry to get to Beaune just have to check into Le Cep. If only 30 minutes by car then we will most likely stop in Dijon. Maybe we could find you and say hello...Are you working on Easter Monday, we could stop by your work?

I'm not working anymore exactly, just managing my apartment rental from A to Z. If it is Monday 17th why not, the flat is already booked (so no departure + cleaning nor arrival) and my DH should be on holiday and then he'll take care of the kids...

Mappy says it takes 3h from Obernai to Dijon. Here is my email address to agree on a time for meeting. [email protected]
Beginning of afternoon I suppose?

à bientôt
coco

I was in Nice last week and there was a protest parade. Hundreds of people of all ages marched, but no trouble. There was many police and swat vans every where. It was kinda fun to be in the middle of the excitement. They marched from downtown to the promanade sea front. Loud speaker: We Will, We Will Rock You

I'm very embarrassed, I just have a phone call from someone of my family who invited us on Monday because they won't be free on another day before a long time...
I could still be free in the morning...
Hope we'll make it!

I emailed you at home. I am worried if and when I will get there and I don't want to mess you up. If you were at work or some where stationary, we would try to stop by but logisticly not sure when....thanks for your help!!!!!

Hi John,
Sorry but I didn't receive your email, don't know why!
If I can't meet you, try to go to the tourist office (not sure it will open that day...)and ask for the brochure "the owl's trail" to be able to see all the famous sites in Dijon.

Hope you'll have a great time!
