Foodies, we need your best restaurants in Rome
We will be in Rome in July and are looking for a few new restaurants. We like to dress casual but insist on very good food. Rome is my favorite city and I adore all the wonderful Roman and Italian restaurants. Quincy and Gabriella is a favorite. Thanks in advance for all your help...

I'll just copy my previous post:
I know an excellent place-LA SCALINATA. It is located between the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain on Via S. Andrea delle Fratte 32, Tel. # 06-69-94-20-67.
They specialize in Roman cuisine here-the freshest fish, spaghetti con cacio e pepe, etc., and their antipasti was just delicious. It's VERY popular, and usually packed for lunch and dinner. Easier for lunch. Each day, they put their long list of house-made specials out on a blackboard. A great mix of locals and tourists in the know. When I'm in Rome, I generally eat here more than once. Reasonably priced as well. You will love the food here.

I'm probably going to post this info over and over on this site as we loved this restaurant. Very local feel, good prices, great food and nice people.
Antica Trattoria da Carlone
Via della Luce
in the Trastevere right off Via Trastevere.
