WHERE AT: North London, England

STATUS: Happy (which is the most important one I think).

29 in a couple weeks, married for 6 years and 6 days, live in our own little end of terrace house, made out of those lovely old yellow london bricks. No kids, nor any wanted. (Though they would probably be cute, as I am Indian, chocolate skin, dark hair and eyes, my husband is a pale Kent boy, rosie cheeks, blue eyes and ginger hair)

OCCUPATION: IT Trainer, working in internal IT Training department of UK's largest travel operator, based at Mornington. Great variety. Love the job and the colleagues and the travel environment. Not considered too much of a sad addict because I am constantly planning the next trip.

HOBBIES: Travel. Planning and booking travel. Eating out. Reading. Cinema. Spending lots of time with friends and family. Sci-fi. Collecting Eggcups. Photography.

LOVES: My husband, my sister, my family and friends. Seeing new places. Sunshine and fluffy white clouds. TV programs and magazines about travel, food and home/ garden decorating (for irony, see dislikes). Good friendly service. My local italian restaurant. Mangos, dark chocolate. Lollipops. Cows. Peach snapps, Baileys and Tia Maria. Fodors Europe Forum.

DISLIKES: Bigots of any kind, all those -ists just get me down. Housekeeping, decorating, gardening. IBS. Bad service in restaurants and shops. Football. Wine and beer. Dark winter days (I suffer from SAD, though the new sunrise lamp I got last year is really helping).

GOALS: To always be this happy. To live long and prosper, in order that I can see more places and experience more experiences.
I missed this post the first time around, first I must say: Investment bankers? Consultants? Geez, and here I was trolling the singles websites when I should have been trolling here!! :,)

I'll add my two bits worth:

Status: Single

Occupation: I work in the mysterious world of Oil and Gas, but don't blame me for the high gasoline prices..

Hobbies: researching travel, reading a good mystery, studying European history (from Roman Empire to 17th centery preferably), working out, and good food and wine with my friends.

Likes: people who help me to see an idea or concept in an entirely different light. I also enjoy a great heated debate, hence my addiction to FODOR's. And oh yes, chocolate!

Dislikes: I have to agree with one of the first posts, I don't like ignorant people who haven't a clue that they are. People who don't appreciate great art/architecture and say so loudly. The brutes.

Special note to Elvira: It's nice to meet another Monty Pyton fan! "Run away, run away!"

I will be going alone, although in a travel group that leaves out of London. I have never been out of the country, let alone, out of the South. I am enjoying this forum and using the facts that I learn to, hopefully, better my trip. Also, learning many things not to do!!
