fly or drive to LeLavandou?
Which would be easiest/and/or cheapest to go from Paris to Le Lavandou? We're going to rent a car while in LeLavandou and drive around Provence...But, there are 3 adults and 2 children. Easy Jet shows fare for around $76 rt p/p....This is for June 2005. Any suggestions appreciated.

Where is the airport for Le Lavandou? The village itself is down on the coast, and I can't imagine that there's a nearby airport. Perhaps in Toulon? Whatever, the other possibility would be to take the train to Toulon and then drive over to Le Lavandou. That's a lovely place to stay, and you should have a very good time exploring the region. Don't miss Bormes-les-Mimosas, just above Le Lavandou in the hills.

Underhill, we're looking to rent a property which is located in this area. I don't know much about the area. I just assumed it was Nice. Now, looking at the map, Nice looks too far. I've emailed the property owners, and hopefully will have a response soon.

The nearest airport is Toulon-Hyeres (15 min.), Marseille & Nice are 90 minutes away. I found some info on the airport. It appears that Air France, Air Lib Express (?), Regional and Westair all serve the airport. I looked up prices for Air France and they were high. Have you ever heard of the other airlines? My thinking is to take the Easy Jet flight to Marseille and just drive the rest of the way. What do you think? Thanks!
