Dear Gretchen I do not think you could go wrong with either one.I stayed at the Bbecci Tornabuoni ; and recommend it highly they have a website www.bthotel.it if you need it.<BR>A frind of mine stayed at the Loggiato Dei Serviti in April and raved about it. I would trust her opionion she's particular like me.<BR>These hotels are not super fancy ; but great for their price range; I loved the oener manger of the BT.<BR>There are reviws on both hotels on Fodors go to Italy and punch Florence.<BR>La Dolce ITALY!<BR>to the top

Both are excellent choices. Add one more and you will have a corner on the<BR>" boutique" Florence hotels--that being Morandi alla Crocetta. Have fun !

Anyone know how the bathrooms and especially showers are at Morandi alla Crocetta? (My most important criteria in selecting a hotel!)

My husband and I stayed at the Morandi in June. The bathroom was very nice -- all tile, loads of towels and immaculate. We didn't have a tub, just a shower stall, which was fully enclosed. This hotel was wonderful in every way, and I highly recommend it.

Which hotel would you stay at ? Loggiato or the Beacci, price quoted is about the same. Which has a better location, nicer room, nicer bathroom ?

One thing I liked about the Beacci T. is that they have a roof garden that's really pretty and a nice way to end a long day of site seeing. I have been told that the Loggiato S. does not have a garden or terrace. The bathrooms at the B.T. while funcunial are not large or fancy; but perfectlt adaquate.<BR>My vote is for the B. T. only because of the roof terrace.<BR>La Dolce Italy!<BR>p.s. I stayed at the Morandi about 4 years ago and think it is charming and well run; I think the prices are a little lower if that would make a difference in your dicision.<BR>to the top

Hermitage on the Arno river. Wonderful rooftop balcony for breakfast and a cappucino. Clean, reasonable, centrally located.
