Florence: Romano, leather shop?

I am going to florence next month and I remember a lovely leather shop with an even lovlier salesman (Romano I think was his name). However I don't remember the name of the shop or where the shop is exactly. I think it may have been called either NOJ, NOI, or NOY. Can anybody help me here? Thanks!

Well, worth a try . . . could it be Sax? That's where our coats are from. (I often can't remember something like a name that I SWEAR starts with an "L" only to remember later that it was, say, "Karen&quot.

If you wander around the main leather market area (your hotel can tell you), maybe you'll find it again! Good luck!

To continue the theme of leather goods, leather jackets are among the most important articles worth purchasing in Florence. If you are prepared to invest in something good, certainly the best place to look is Noi on Via delle Terme. Here the softest leather is made into fabulous jackets. And the service is both friendly and competent...

I think this is the place you were talking about--NOI...????

Too carry on with this theme-does anyone know any of the Floretine leather shops that sell online?

To tag on to this leather line... we will be in Florence in December. My wife would like some nice leather gloves. Any suggestions on shops that might be good bets for gloves?

Would the market be a possibility? My daughter and I experienced the market area- QUICKLY - last year, neither of us took time to look for gloves. This year my wife is coming with us.

Any thoughts on where we can look this year? Will prices be comparable to US or should we find "better deals"?

Just returned from Florence and you could definately get gloves at the market, but I found better selections in the shops in Rome if you are going to be there. There are two shops right off the Spanish Steps, toward the Trevi Foundation.
