Florence Restaurant for Anniversary Needed

My husband and I will be in Florence for the new year, and are looking for recommendations for a romantic restaurant/great food for our anniversary. Any suggestions? Thanks

I recommend La Giostra on Borgo Pinti 12/R. It's not a very "local" place per se but the food is excellent and the owner/chef is a Hapsburg prince.

I'll second the recommendation for La Giostra. My then-boyfriend (now-husband) and I stumbled upon this place a few years ago and loved it. The service was a little over the top, but fun and the food was excellent. Everyone we have sent there since then has come back raving about it.

Not sure how romantic La Giostra is,
but agree that it is a fun place with great food and a great "show" put on by the Prince and his family.

Another vote for La Giostra, though as others have mentioned, not sure it's the most romantic (depends on where you're seated I think), but the food, OMG--the food is fabulous.

Lara, do you have a budget? Do you want a swanky treat or cosy?

If budget is no object, you may want to consider Enoteca Pincchiori (sp?). I haven't been in more than 10 years, but it was the most memorable meal of that trip (November 1993). I am finally returning to Florence next week, more than 10 years later, and I still remember tha meal. This trip, Cibreo is on our list.
