Florence on Entry Day

We're flying in to Florence and will probably be settled-in to our hotel before noon. Will definitely be very tired and not too interested in strenuous exploring.

Could anyone recommend a nice place for lunch? Something non-stressful... somewhat quiet... pretty view?

We're in Florence for two more days after that and then off for a VBT 1-week bike tour of Tuscany, ending in Rome.

Thanks very much.

I stayed in Florence at the start and end of a VBT tour, so if you let me know which hotels, I can help you out.

Thanks. We're in the Kraft Hotel... but we're more than OK with walking to another place closer to the city center. Heck, after flying for over a day, we'll want to!

Hi M,

Can't help with a recommendation for lunch.

However, I suggest that you not bother.

Walk around, get some gelato, find a place that looks nice (even a pizza stand), have lunch, walk around, eat some gelato.

You might want to try some gelato.

There is a place favored by locals that has great, great food. Informal and inexpensive.
It is called La Casaligna. Excellent food, no view, but very Italian...
