Florence Hotel Decisions

Hotel Davanzati (165e) vs Tourist House Ghiberiti (155e). Which one to stay at regarding:

hotel itself (staff, rooms, etc)
area its located in
service

and also add into that Relais Uffizi. All 3 central to everything yet in different locations. All about the same price.

I have read very positive things about both.

I visit Florence often and have walked past both of these. Davanzati is located on a very central street that is pedestrian only. There is a long flight of steps leading to reception. It is a full service hotel.

THG is a B&B that is bit further out but IMO this is not a major disadvantage. I think it depends on whether you would prefer the serivces of a hotel vs a small B&B.

go to tripadvisor.com and look up the hotel names.
