Yes, I put up another thread about it and I've been trying to keep it topped, because I think people need to see this, as some travelers are planning upcoming trips to the area. Vernazza and parts of Tuscany around Pontremoli were also inundated. Train service along the entire coast is disrupted, from Genova to Pisa, and access to le Cinque Terre itself is likely to be limited for some time.
This is only the beginning of the traditional rain season, so people planning an upcoming trip to le Cinque Terre should be very alert to the situation. Even if they can get there, they should be concerned about the weather and the condition of the hillsides, cliffs and trails.
TripAdvisor message boards have residents of the area posting intermittently.

No problem! I'm glad you posted. I hope these threads don't keep falling off the front page of Fodor's.
On the other thread, GAC posted this information:
Trenitalia is publishing updates on the interruption of train service in the area of the Cinque Terre. Long-distance trains between Rome and Genoa are being re-routed inland:

An Italian newspaper website has posted a picture of Vernazza "like it was--like it is now" that vividly shows the damage. (move the bar that horizontally bisects the photo)
