Flights to Paris

A couple of friends and I are trying to plan a spring break trip to Paris. I was wondering if anyone knew of some great places to check out for any kind of flight specials from Chicago to Paris. This would be so helpful...thank you in advance!

Check the Lufthansa and Air France websites as these airlines have pretty good winter fares through March 31st.

here is another, you can't book on this site but it searches for low fares from the airlines.

Ok so I still need some more help, what neighborhood is the best to stay in while in Paris. Also, what are some good hostels to stay in. And finally, I was thinking of taking the train to Belgium for a few days...what city or any other ideas of places to spend a few days???

Personnally I like the Marais. I feel that it is young and full of life, it also has great character with winding streets and alleys. Lots of shops and sights too! I rented an apartment there and loved it. Here is a list of hotels I just put together for someone. A few are in the Marais and others are near the Louvre and Les Halles. If you are interested in renting look at the sight parisbestlodge.com, he has some really nice places. I stayed in the Studio Rivoli and loved it.

Some hotels....

Hotel Britannique - This is a gret little hotel and I would say that it is located in the dead center of the city. It near the Seine, Les Halles and Chatelet Metro Station which is at the crossroads of Paris. Its an easy walk to the Marais and Notre Dam. The price may be a bit higher than your budget but it is worth it.

Hotel Relais de Louvre - This hotel is right near the Seine and on the side of the giant Louvre museum. Its a simple little place and you may find a room in your budget range. The staff is friendly and there is a great pastry shop right on the corner where you can have a snack or breakfast. The metro and Les Halles area is also nearby.

Castex Hotel - This hotel is in the edge of the Bastill and Marais districts. There is plenty to see and do around here and lots of cafes and bistros. Its actually a simple little place but the prices are right.

Hotel de la Bretonnerie - This hotel is in the lively center of the Marias on a busy street near the Jewish quarter and Les Halles. It is very quaint.

Hotel Louis II - This is a cute little place in St Germain . I never stayed here but walked by it a million times. Its in a great area right in St Germain with cute shops and lots of bistros nearby. Check their websight they have some affordable specials. 111 euro for a double room with shower. (some rooms have only a bath).

One thing I recommend is sending an email to the hotel and ask for their "best promotional rate". Sometime it will land you a lower price.

Doug, Air France often has the best fares to Paris, and I do know they are having a sale now, as francophile mentioned. You are lucky your spring break should fit into that. Other than that, I saw BA has a sale going also (you can probably fly BA London-Paris, if not, there are lots of options).

I think you might want to start new threads (post new question) on all your other topics, so you don't have too much going on in one place. Like one thread on Paris accommodations, and another on your Belgium jaunt.
