Flights to Italy under $1000?

Any travel tips on finding flights to Italy in June for under $1000? I am staying near Florence and Siena.

Flying out of Atlanta, Nashville, or Birmingham - wherever we find the best deal.

Hi m8,

It's still early for lowest fares.

You might want to track prices at www.mobissimo.com

AAA found us flights from Buffalo - Rome (with one stop in Chicago) for $620. We are leaving May 25 and returning June 11. Our flights are on American.

I found a flight for $1080 from Atlanta to Florence using the dates 6.01 to 6.14.2005 and same dates for Rome were $1040 at this website:

(the pin number at the end of the site is my agent # so if you book thru this site, I earn a commission)

I have flown between Atlanta and Rome many times and never paid more than $600. You just have to check online prices at least twice a day. Sooner or later, and maybe only for a few hours, prices will plummet.

If all you can find now is $1000, you might as well wait and keep searching for the next 3 or 4 months. Unless something totally bizarre happens, $1000 would be the max you'd have to pay any time in that time period.
