I just read these posts and it got me concerned bc I booked a ticket w/ Flights.com for December. After booking, I got the e-mail w/ my e-tickts #. I then checked w/ the airlines directly to get better seats. They said I was all set. I also checked w/ my cc company and no erroneous billing, just the cost of the ticket. Dunno, maybe this was an isolated case or has something to do w/ changing these "cheap" / consolidator tickets. Anyway, good luck.

This company sounds dreadful. Has anyone got in touch with some sort of US consumer watchdog over these people? They're obviously a North American (and I assume) registered Company. They seem very shifty indeed. I'd certainly take some of these complaints further than just to your credit card company.

herz_tical, please note that the original post was from a year ago, so they may have improved since then.
I wouldn't worry unnecessarily, especially if the airline has your reservation. If they have it, they have it. End of story.
Have a nice trip!

Why doesn't everybody just chill out. flights.com is an established, well known e-travel company that has been around for about 10 years. They are a member of IATA (International Air Transport Association) which means they are fully bonded and insured. They have sold millions and millions of airline tickets.
Just because one or few people had some misunderstanding with the company it doesn't mean they are crooks or fraud. The original post was from a year ago. And eventually it has been confirmed by the original poster that the reservation was valid with the airline. So where is the problem?
Please folks, there is no need to get into the "lynching mob" mentality based on one or two unconfirmed stories.

As the OP, guess I should post the end of the story.
After a number of tries to contact them, they finally called me to confirm flight and billing information. That was my only live person to person contact. I later reconfirmed flights directly with the airlines, and the trip went off without a hitch. My sense was that they do a lot of volume, and have little time for individual travelers. Adding to the confusion is the fact that flights.com is not the actual name of the agency you end up dealing with.
