I've seen the show at Los Gallos, and thought it was good. A little bit of flamenco goes a long way with me.
As for which show -- I don't think it makes any difference, it's just a matter of which time is more convenient to you. They are the same thing, as far as I know.

FYI Marible- Canales was denied a working visa for the week in the US and was not allowed to leave Madrid. So, last night Adela Campallo took over his spot and did a very nice job, though it was not at all an organized event and it was sort of like going to a caseta at a feria.

Speaking of New Mexico and flamenco,
I saw my very first flamenco performance in the US when I was 12 (many a moon ago!) at the Rancho de Chimayó on the High Road to Taos. Way, way back then they had flamenco performances at night on wkds. Will María Benítez be performing at the festival?
