Flamenco in Madrid?

For intra European, I think that 1 1/2 hrs. in advance is fine. I agree with cruiseluv (as always)-if you arrive too early, the check in counters won't be open anyway.
Yes, I would spend the 2 nights in the city and forget the Clement Barajas (although it's a nice airport adjacent hotel). The Clement Barajas shuttle does NOT come into the city. At the Lope de Vega, if you order the taxi the night before, it will arrive with a charge already on the meter, just so you know. Meter starts running when the taxi is dispatched to the hotel. You can be at the airport at that early hr. within 15 min. (taxi drivers have a lead foot at that time of the morning). There will be a supplement for the airport run. (BTW, my newly revised Madrid file is on my web page, just in case you're looking at the old one).
I wouldn't take the Aerocity at that hour, just order a taxi (although you could just walk down to the Paseo del Prado and catch one, even at that pre-dawn hr., but you'll feel better and more secure ordering one in advance).
Ditto to what amdson has told you about Arco de Cuchilleros and Torres Bermejas on the tour bus circuit. Not authentic flamenco! Casa Patas is your best bet!
