These are my "must eats" in Paris for other nights --

1) Au Bon Accueil - Now this is a great place to dine. Nice atmosphere, great service and a wonderful menu. I am surprised you have never been here. The food is also served beautifully. They are rated a 18 by Zagats and also recommended by Patricia Wells and Bistros of Pais give them 3 stars. I would plan on going to this one. Prix Fixe only - 25 euro 3 course for lunch, 4.60 for a glass of wine, 2.20 euro for caffe. Total 31.80 Euro. Wow I think this was a bargin! Such a nice place.

2) Seraphin, 5 rue Mabillion, 6th Arr - I ran into this place one night on my way to Aux Charpentiers in St-Germain near the old St-Germain market. I loved it! A great new find. Nice service, soothing atmosphere and a simple traditional bordering creative French menu. They also have a great wine list. One thing I noticed was that it was well ventilated so the ciggy smoke wasn't so bad. Again, I would plan on a visit here. The menu is prix fixe with supplements for fancy items. I had Foie Gras pate (E12.00), leg of lamb E14.00, creme brulee (E7.00), coffee (E2.00) and a half bottle of Crozes Hermitage red wine (E11.50) and my bill was 46.50 euro. That's about $42. Good considering I had the Croze Hermitage wine and Foie Gras. Can be about $10 less expensive if you order house wine and a starter which was Foie Gras!

3) Ma Bourgogne - 19 Place de Vosges, 4th arr. - Traditional French style Bistro on the Place de Vosges. Outdoor seating or cozy indoor seating. Great food, stuffy but not rude service.

4) La Fountain de Mars -129 rue St-Dominique, 7th arr. - Service at La Fountain is exceptional. I ate here twice. Good classic french dishes. The first time I loved it the second time I was choked by ciggy and cigar smoke. I think its best for lunch and if you can sit outside. The Cassoulet is amazing! Average price for dinner can be $40 per person for all courses and wine.

5) La Maison Cleret, 4 rue des Lavandieres Ste-Opportune - A simple neighborhood cafe/pastry shop. Just a good Caffe Creme and yummy pastry. I hear that they serve a good light lunch. Always good for pasrty and a cup of caffe ortea!

6) Le Grizzli, 7 rue St-martin, 4th Arr - (I only semi recommend this one) I always wanted to eat here and this was the first restaurant i visited on arrival. I was kinda disappointed. They food was good, but not my fav. As i watched everyone was scarfing down big tasty salads so i ordered the salad of the day off the special board, "Frisee Salad de geisers de canard au magret fume". Hmmmm... sounds like some lovely salad with duck meat. But whats that strange taste? What did I get? Frisee salad covered with duck gizzard confit. YUK! Key lesson, know what every word means before ordering. Keyword "Geisers" . Gross. I think they may have good salads (everyone else had something interesting) but overall I was not impressed. Recommended by Fodors. My bill was 32 euros.

CONTINUED

Here are a few I did not eat at but wanted to try...

La Poulet au Pot - 9 rue Vauvillers, 1st Arr.

Cafe Runtz - 16 rue Favart, 2nd Arr - This place looked great. Friends have told me it is real good. Nice atmosphere.

Perraudin, 157 rue St-Jacques, 5th Arr - Traditional Fench Bistro. Always full and busy.

Le Berthoud - 1 rue Valette, 5th Arr - Simple looking, cute, welcoming. Traditional French menu.

Le Florimond, 19 ave de la Motte Picque, 7th Arr. This is supose to be the new "neighborhood find". They say its cozy, friendly and comfortable but small. Reserve! Highly recommended to me by a lady who sat next to me on a United Airlines flight. Zagat rates then a 18. Average price E35.00 (try this place for me!)

You can also go to zagat.com and go to their Paris page and do a search for a restaurant that is in the neighborhood you want, with the price range and quality of food. Good deal!
