Your journey involves a change of train at Roma Termini and at Naples.
(You can book a through ticket FCO-Naples).

From Rome FCO airport there are trains every 30 mins to Roma Termini.

At Roma Termini there are Eurostars to Naples at 08.45, 09.45, and 10.45.
(For full timetable and fares see
www.trenitalia.it).

The 09.45 ES arrives at Napoli Piazza Garibaldi station, from where Sorrento (Circumvesuviana) trains leave approx every 30 mins.

Other trains arrive at Napoli Centrale, from where you follow signs downstairs for the CIRCUMVESUVIANA.

Hope this helps ...

Steve

John - for trains from FCO to Rome, enter
Fiumicino Aeroporto & Roma Termini
(They are every 30 minutes at 07 and 37 past the hour).

For your other train, enter
Roma Termini & Napoli

N.B. Trains for Napoli Centrale and Piazza Garibaldi are both O.K., but NOT trains for Napoli Campi Flegrei.

Hope this helps ...

Steve
No need to buy in advance, John.
Buy FCO-Naples tickets at FCO station.

Buy Naples-Sorrento tickets at the CIRCUMVESUVIANA ticket office at Napoli Piazza Garibaldi Station.

Hope this helps ...

Steve
