Ferry from Palermo to Naples

How can I check the schedule for the night ferry from Palermo to Naples?
Is there private cabin for 2 persons?
Any air conditioning?
Any private bath?

Although i regret to be uncertain about your perticular route, I think it would be worth it for you to check out the website: www.viamare.com. Here you can view a complete up to date timetable of many ferries and you can even buy tickets and have them delivered to you in advance. I hope this is helpful to you.

It seems they did not accept reservation on line but must go through some agent. Is it possible to reserve the tickets directly from them?

There are two operators, with sailings every night (www.tirrenia.it, www.snav.it). They both have big overnight ships and, of course, there are two-berth cabins with air-conditioning and bathrooms. There is also an overnight service three times a week from Palermo to Civitavecchia (www.gnv.it) which may be more convenient if you're heading for Roma.

I mean Tirrenia. It seems the schedule is more suitable for the trip from Palermo to Naples.

Does either SNAV or Tirrenia accept booking on internet? Seems they all need to go through agents?

SNAV started running an overnight Palermo-Napoli service around four years ago, and Tirrenia had bigger new ships in 1999/2000, so there is excess capacity on the route. Unless you're travelling on a very busy date, you'll be able to book a cabin at short notice. If you're spending time in Sicily before travelling to Napoli, just call in a travel agency. These ships are big. Tirrenia's are the RAFFAELO RUBATTINO and VINCENZO FLORIO which can each carry 625 cars and 1471 passengers.

Can I say that travelling with Tirrenia is more comfortable than SNAV?

Tirrenia's ships are much newer (SNAV's used to run across the North Sea) so are probably the better choice, but it depends what sort of accommodation you book. If Tirrenia don't have the sort of cabin you want, then try SNAV.
