Ferry/Air/or Train from London to Amsterdam
We have a three day stop-over on our way back from Africa. What would be the best way to travel from london to Amsterdam. We will have our share of flights at that point...So the Ferry option or Train might be better. Anyone know prices, how long, etc. Also how convinent would it be to go by Ferry/Train if we are at the London Airport

Hi m,
I take it that you have no interest in visiting London or the UK.
I think that, with only 3 days, your best route is to fly. Train will eat up almost a whole day, and a ferry even more.

The fastest rail service London-Amsterdam will take 5 hours and 23 minutes and this does not include the time it will take you to get from the airport to the departure rail station.
An arrival from India implies Heathrow airport which is the only one of the airports that EasyJet doesn't have service to Amsterdam from. That notwithstanding, I still think you should fly unless you have an inordinate amount of luggage that woulddrive up airline baggage excess charge fees or don't mind taking most of the day for the journey.
